Day to day:
Insight Global’s top data client is seeking a Data Center Construction Project Manager who will be responsible for the data center construction project from inception through to completion. Responsibility includes the safety, quality, schedule, and budget of the individual builds happening at a greenfield campus. Support special research and development experiments, renovations, and upgrades of existing facilities. Maintain responsibility from construction to deployment, and be responsible for gathering internal requirements and delivering solutions that satisfy customer needs. Resolve highly critical issues within the matrix organization while maintaining rigorous adherence to project timelines and costs.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in program or project management.
- 3-5 years of experience with technical teams responsible for project management, engineering, and construction of data centers.
- Data Center experience.
- Safety certifications or safety audit experience
- Experience with either electrical, mechanical, controls, security monitoring, fire safety, networking/fiber, server equipment, systems, and infrastructure.
Plusses:
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management.
- PMP Certification or equivalent.
- OSHA 30 hour certification.
- Experience contract management and discussing agreements.
- Excellent requirement gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling, and achieving schedule and budget goals skills.
PR: $70-80/hr
